From the moment I read they synopsis I WANTED this book. It sounded like a unique interesting read. I was expecting something similar to Never Eighteen, I was expecting to cry… What I got instead was something that made me laugh out loud with it’s witty conversations and honesty between two friends.  You can read my review here.

The F It List by Julie Halpern

With her signature heart and humor, Julie Halpern explores a strained friendship strengthened by one girl’s battle with cancer.

Alex’s father recently died in a car accident. And on the night of his funeral, her best friend Becca slept with Alex’s boyfriend. So things aren’t great. Alex steps away from her friendship with Becca and focuses on her family.

But when Alex finally decides to forgive Becca, she finds out something that will change her world again—Becca has cancer.

So what do you do when your best friend has cancer? You help her shave her head. And then you take her bucket list and try to fulfill it on her behalf. Because if that’s all you can do to help your ailing friend—you do it.

  1. Hum, that's a loaded question. I refuse to pick my favorite, but I really loved A Darkness Strange and Lovely by Susan Dennard. Super, super excited for Strange and Every After. Like you don't even know!

  2. Suz Reads

I loved Every Day – David Levithan and Legend by Marie Lu! Thanks for this amazing giveaway – I would love to win!

  3. My favorite book this year is Thunder Dog by Michael Hingson with Susy Flory. Our book club discovered how much we each knew about disabilities and the resources and advancements made to assist those in need. In the story, the dog, Rosalle, leads his blind master along with others through smoke and jet fuel scented air, down stairs at the World Trade Center as it was collapsing on 9/11. F-It List by Julie Halpern speaks to my heart, too, as cancer has struck many a friend.
