New PTB Reviewers – Jr. Reviewers

Posted March 3, 2013 by Pixie in Blog, Uncategorized / 4 Comments

It was so hard to narrow down the applicants. So many wonderful people to choose from – but after a few crazed emails we have finally picked our new reviewers. Introducing the new ladies added to the Page Turners family.

Hi! My name is Lexie, and I’m 31, a Mom to a ridiculously cute son and a spoiled cat named Gracie Rose. I have a BA in Humanities from Brigham Young University and a Masters in Library Science from Texas Woman’s University. I’m currently the Head of a Youth Services department in one of the busiest libraries in the Southeast.

I’m a voracious reader who knows no boundaries when it comes to genre or age appropriateness. However, YA fiction has always been my happy place. I love books that make me think in completely new ways. I love books that make me laugh out loud. And I love books that leave me in a sobbing mess on the floor.

My one claim to fame is that Entertainment Weekly once quoted my book review of “Code Name: Verity”. That was probably the coolest moment of my life. Ever.

Hi! My name is Sallie and I’m a bookaholic. I have a healthy appetite for YA and New Adult books while throwing in some time for blogging about them. When I get hooked on something, I can get very animated and passionate while talking about it – which almost always has something to do with books or reading. I’ve studied English Literature at the University of Rhode Island, which has shown me how to recognize a tale worth telling from just another story. As Shakespeare might have maybe said, so many books, so little time. That is, if he were ever to say something normal. email:, blog link: & goodreads link.

I’m a 30-something wife and mother of the world’s most energetic 2 year old. I have been a book lover my whole life and enjoy all YA, NA, romance and historical fiction, especially anything about the Tudors. I work in secondary education and when I’m not reading, I’m writing, traveling, hanging out with my family, plotting to visit celebrity chefs’ restaurants and eating cupcakes.

My name is Michelle, I am 40 years old. I am married and have 3 children ( 22,21 and 11 years old) and 3 grandchildren ( 6, 2 and 1 years old). I work full time but thanks to a very understanding family I always manage to find time for the love of a good story. I loved to read as a child but I did not reconnect with that passion again until my daughter introduced me to the Twilight series.

I have rediscovered how wonderful it is to be swept away by a good book. I really enjoy the YA genre, it reminds me of how it is to be young, and see and experience things in a way that as adults we sometimes forget. I would love to be able to write a great book, but for now I am happy reading them.

You can find me on facebook or my blog,
