Opal Blog Tour Stop & Giveaway

Thanks for stopping by the Opal Blog Tour!! We have a fun interview with Jennifer L. Armentrout for you and a giveaway, we hope you enjoy!

So for anyone (uhmm like me) who hasn’t hopped on the Lux train yet? could you tell us a little bit about the story?

Well, we’d have to hop on the Lux train at the beginning, with Obsidian. Katy Swartz is a book-loving fanatic that moves to a small town in WV and ends up living next door to a guy has out of this world good looks and attitude. Being around Daemon Black and his sister Dee is dangerous. They have a whole race of aliens out to get them plus the government. It’s romance, action, suspense, and humor.

I have heard a lot of talk about this Daemon character; can you describe him in 3 words?

Really hot jerk.

In previous comments, you have called Daemon “stab-worthy”, what exactly would make someone stab worthy & have girls swooning over him at the same time?

That’s a good question. One I can’t even answer. Apparently stab-worthy is a good trait to have.

What did it mean for you to have made it into the Final Round of the 2012 Goodreads Choice Awards as Best Overall Author and Best YA Fantasy or Sci-Fi for ONYX?

It was awesome! Even though I didn’t win, it was an honor to even be nominated and I’m being serious. There are so many amazing authors to pick from, so it making it that far was really inspiring.

Were you surprised by the excitement for the Opal Release Party Contest and how active bloggers got to bring the party to their town?

Yes! The readers of the Lux series never fail to amaze me. They are they best out there.

With each book the online promotion has grown and so has the popularity of your books. How do you go about planning your book promotion and what do you hope your readers get out of it?

I really don’t put a lot of planning into it. There’s things the publishers’ publicist staff do, but for me, I just try to be reachable to the readers. I think that goes further than any kind of promotion you can run.

For more info about The Lux Series:

No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well… There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different… And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger… and they know it.

USA TODAY  Bestselling author, Jennifer L. Armentrout, lives in Martinsburg, West Virginia. All the rumors you’ve heard about her state aren’t true. When she’s not hard at work writing, she spends her time reading, working out, watching really bad zombie movies, pretending to write, and hanging out with her husband and her Jack Russell, Loki. Her dreams of becoming an author started in algebra class where she spent most of her time writing short stories….which explains her dismal grades in math. Jennifer writes young adult paranormal, science fiction, fantasy, and contemporary romance. She also writes adult romance under the name J. Lynn.
