Forbidden is by far my favorite read of 2011 – Not only did it make me ugly cry and leave me emotionally drained for days, it changed my views on consensual incest. As open minded as I am, this is one issue I would not budge on. To have a book, a simple book about a devastatingly tragic love story between a brother and sister change my stance on this issue, is just mind boggling to me.
Tabitha does an amazing job bringing this book to life – one minute you’re in aww at the beautifully written love story (seriously some of the best scenes in YA) but then the next minute you remember they are related and are completely thrown for a loop. To learn more about Forbidden you can stop by Tabitha Suzuma’s website and read my review here.
We had an interview with Tabitha Suzuma set up but she had a family emergency- and was unable to get it finished in time. We are hoping in the next few months we will be able to post it for you.
Portrait of A Book is also hosting Forbidden today. She has a giveaway up – so stop by and enter.
