Beautiful Darkness Tour stop!

What a great way to celebrate a birthday than to share with you all more about one of my FAVORITE books of 2010!  We are super excited to be part of the Beautiful Darkness Novel Noise Blog tour!

Kami Garcia and Margie Stohl  have totally topped themselves with the next installment of the Caster Chronicles.  To learn more about our full thoughts on Beautiful Darkness, check out Stacey’s full review of Beautiful Darkness.

Beautiful Darkness was released on October 12th, you can buy at a store near you or click the book cover to buy it from your local Indie store!  And if you’re new to the Caster Chronicles, book 1, Beautiful Creatures, is out in paper back now!

After reading Beautiful Darkness, we knew we had to learn more about Link and we’re SUPER excited to have Link answering some questions for us today!  We hope you enjoy getting to know our favorite future rock star drummer a little better!

Link, otherwise known to his mother as Wesley Jefferson Lincoln, is Ethan’s best friend. They met in second grade when Link shared his Twinkie with Ethan, on the bus. He just failed to mention that it fell on the floor. Link’s mom bans books, passes out petitions, and praises the Lord Almighty like a good Southern Baptist. Link writes bad songs, plays the drums, and worships Black Sabbath.

Link is the best “best friend” you could ask for. He’s loyal, funny, and always willing to back you up in a fight. But he does spend all of his time trying to pick up girls when he isn’t in summer school. Hey, nobody’s perfect. (Link Picture is copy right VLC Photos)

PTB: What’s your sign?
Link: I usually just write my name.

Best song lyric you’ve ever written?
“Don’t give a damn what they say
They better move the hell outta my way
I breathe your breath / I feel it too
They’re tearing into every bit of you”

– Who Shot Lincoln, “Today”

Who’s your musical inspiration?
Black Sabbath.

If you could have an endless supply of one item of food from Amma’s kitchen what would it be?
Her Gatlin peach pie.

What was your favorite cartoon as a child?
Batman.

If someone made a movie of your life, who would you want to play you?
They should just use me. I’m good looking, and I already know all the songs.

What’s your favorite thing about Ethan?
Amma’s peach pie.

How did you learn to play the drums?
Totally self-taught. I’m some kinda musical progedy.

What is your favorite place to go in Gatlin?
Cheerleadin’ practice.

When you make it as a famous musician, and someone asks you about your hometown of Gatlin, how will you describe it?
I plan to lie about where I’m from.

  1. Ah Link. Thanks so much for this character interview. I have to say Link is my favorite character. I think I'd really like to hang out with him and eat some peach pie, b/c peach pie is FABULOUS! And I'm sure Amma's would put all the peach pie I've ever had to shame.
