We are pleased to announce this AMAZING contest!
The Dark Divine by Bree Despain was one of our favorite books of 2009! And with the up coming release of The Lost Saint, book 2 in the series coming out in December, we thought it’d be fun to celebrate! Princess Bookie and Tynga’s Review Blog have both done cover art contests, but we thought we’d do it a little different!
The cover to the 2nd book in The Dark Divine Series, The Lost Saint by Bree Despain, will be revealed on July 20th!!!! In celebration of this big day we’re hosting a cover contest for The Lost Saint.  We want to know what you think the cover will look like!  To the left you’ll find the cover for The Dark Divine.  We here at PageTurners have NO clue what the cover looks like, we can share with you The Dark Divine Cover and a blurb that Bree shared with us that is posted below to help you on on your mission (the blurb is below). Warning, the blurb does contain spoilers about The Dark Divine – this is also not the official book blurb.  It is for the use of this contest only! Do not repost without express consent from Bree Despain.
Here’s the contest overview.  Please be sure to read all the directions and rules before submitting an entry!  Use the form below (click HERE if you’re having problems viewing the form) to submit your entry.  You must be a blog follower to enter.  You have till 11:59 pm Central Time on JULY 10th to submit your entry.   On July 12th we’ll post pictures of all the entries in a new post for people to vote for their favorite depiction (voting rules will be posted in that post).  Voting will close at 11:59 pm Central Time on the July 18th.  The winners will be announced the 19th and the real The Lost Saint cover will be revealed on the 20th by Bree.

    Bree’s The Lost Saint Blurb:
A family destroyed. A love threatened. An enemy returns.
THE LOST SAINT: A DARK DIVINE NOVEL by Bree Despain

“They’re coming for you,” a muffled voice said over the phone. “You’re in danger. You are all in danger.”
“Who is this?” I asked. “What are you talking about?”
“You can’t trust him.” The voice on the phone seemed suddenly clearer— like the hand muffling the receiver had moved out of the way— and the familiarity of it made my heart almost stop. “Please, Gracie, listen to me this time. You’re all in danger. You have to know that—” The voice cut off with a clatter, like the phone had been dropped, and the line went dead.
“Jude!” I shouted into my phone.

Grace Divine made the ultimate sacrifice to cure Daniel Kalbi. She was infected with the werewolf curse while trying to save him, and lost her beloved brother in the process. When Grace receives a haunting phone call from Jude, she knows what she must do. She must become a Hound of Heaven.
Desperate to find Jude, Grace befriends Talbot—a newcomer to town who promises her that he can help her be a hero. But as the two grow closer, the wolf grows in Grace, and her relationship with Daniel is put in danger—in more ways than one.
Unaware of the dark path she is walking, Grace begins to give into the wolf inside of her—not realizing that an enemy has returned and a deadly trap is about to be sprung.

CONTEST CLOSED! MONDAY THE VOTING STARTS!

A HUGE thank you to Bree Despain and Egmont for sponsoring this giveaway and for all their hard work on it!

Pixie and I thought we’d give you our ideas for the cover as some inspiration.  Again we have NO clue what the cover looks like we had as much info as y’all do, happy creating!!!

    1. When you say original piece of work, does that mean only using your own drawings or photos or whatever?

Or do covers made by manipulating stock photos count? (I mean, some real book covers are made using stock photos and photomanipulations are still original work and that's what stock photos are for).

So yeah, are stock photos allowed in covers? :]

    2. you can manipulate stock photos but you cant go to fan art sites and pull someone else's The Lost Saint cover and pass it off as your own. like my cover is a picture i found on the net that i thought had the feeling of TLS – i played with it in Photoshop and added the words, that's totally fine.

    3. You can post it as a blog entry that's fine. just need to have it some place i can snag it to post on here so people can vote.

    4. I got everyone's Covers who posted in here! The covers will post Monday (7/12) – if for some reason you dont see your cover in the post on Monday, please email me at stacey (at) pageturnersblog (dot) com but i believe I'm up to date as of 9pm on Saturday night.

    5. I had to re-enter. I forgot to add "A Dark Divine Novel" on the cover and I didn't make it a link to photobucket. Please delete my first entry. Sorry and thank you!

    6. OK, i think i got everyone's edited version as the final! If for some reason when i post it on monday and i screwed up PLEASE let me know and i'll fix it as soon as i can but i believe i got everything figured out! thanks again for all who entered!!!!
